Disadvantages of Hard Persuasion:
It damages the relationship. When you use hard persuasion, you're forcing another person to bend to your will. It will backfire with a man who hates being threatened. The core of hard persuasion is if the person doesn't do what you do, he will face a serious consequence. There are some men who just hate any type of threatening and will go to mountains to PROVE YOU WRONG by deliberately doing the opposite of what you want. If you man is this type, stick solely to soft persuasion.

Soft Persuasion

As the name suggests, soft persuasion is a gentle, slow form of persuasion. If the tempo of the hard persuasion is push-push-push, the tempo of the soft persuasion is one gentle push, followed by a step back and a while later, another gentle push.

Advantages of Soft Persuasion:
While the hard persuasion may damage your relationship, the soft persuasion's biggest advantage is that it will leave your relationship intact. In fact, soft persuasion is the main tool you want to use to persuade a man in the long-run. It will lay the foundation for the rare occasions when you have to use hard persuasion to achieve your goal. If you use hard persuasion all the time, it will lose its effects as time goes on.

Disadvantages of Soft Persuasion:
It's VERY SLOW. The cornerstone of soft persuasion is to be patient and convince the other person that your point of view is correct and that they should be on your side.
