Rule 2: Combine Soft and Hard Persuasion to Have the Most Potent Effect


Hard persuasion or soft persuasion alone won't get you the best results. The most effective way is to use both at selective times during the persuasive process. If you over use these techniques then you will notice that they don’t work as well as they used to.

A general rule is my 90/10 rule - use the soft persuasion 90% of the time (especially at the beginning of the relationship) and use the hard persuasion 10% of the time (to be on the safe side, you should only use hard persuasion once you share a deep emotional bond with one another).

Although you can use this 90/10 rule to start with, when you have been going out for a while you may want to fine tune your persuasive techniques and make sure that you can use the right technique at the right time, based on your man's unique mental state at the time.
